Popeye BBQ sauce began in
2009 after the Simmons Family
started grilling at their local
church, El Bethel Temple in
Orlando, Florida. Alonzo and Charlyce longed for a sauce that would perfectly compliment their style of grilling.
Trying to make ends meet they decided to make their own sauce to sell their delicious food and the sauce was a huge success. Their customers wanted it on everything, the fried fish, French fries, and shrimp!
